RAISE AWARENESS IN AFRICA
Education is every girl’s right; it gives them the knowledge and skills they need to realize their potential and to protect themselves from harm. That's why education is essential to the development of South Africa. However, girls are far too often left behind. GirlStuff.Period's campaigns aim to raise awareness, generate public support and mobilize resources for girls’ education in South Africa. GirlStuff.Period works with many different partners, promoting girls’ education wherever possible. In this way, we believe we will achieve the ultimate goal: education for every girl in South Africa.
Give girls an education.
Without even basic education girls remain trapped in a vicious circle of poverty. They are excluded from the labor market and forced into informal or unpaid work. They don’t understand basic health, nutrition, family planning or HIV/AIDS issues. They aren't able to secure any other rights for themselves. And, they will never reach their potential to become positive forces for good in their communities. It is imperative that girls be given an equitable chance at gaining an education and employment. And that is what GirlStuff.Period is here to do, as a response to this desperate need. GirlStuff.Period has been raising awareness for girls in South Africa, join our efforts today!
Raise awareness for pads and against bullying!
Through selling the pads GirlStuff.Period raises awareness in communities in South Africa about the importance of menstrual health and hygiene training, and ensure that the sanitary pads are available. We also supply girls in South Africa with free pads to make sure their periods never keep them away from school. When we meet our campaign goals, the future of a whole generation of girls and their communities will be so much brighter. Boys will benefit too: because girls generally face higher obstacles to education, removing these is the best way to ensure that enrolment increases for both boys and girls. And because the benefits of education are passed from one generation to the next, the futures of those that follow will be much brighter too.
